The route, on a real map you can pan and zoom — and a live tracker that shows roughly where the parade is once it steps off.
Every Fourth of July, New Town at St. Charles throws one of the best neighborhood parades in the region. Kids decorate bikes and wagons, neighbors line the streets in red, white, and blue, and the whole community walks the route together. This page has the full parade route on a real map you can pan and zoom, plus a live tracker that shows roughly where the parade is once it steps off.
The parade runs about 1.74 miles through the heart of New Town:
Park on any street outside the loop and walk in — anywhere along the route is a good spot to watch. The Civic Circle finish, by the New Town Amphitheater, and the long stretch down Granger Boulevard tend to draw the biggest crowds. If you live along the route, please move cars off the street before 8:00 AM so the parade has room.
The parade steps off at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Marchers line up at 9:15 AM at Greensmith Park.
It starts on East Greensmith Street and finishes about 1.8 miles later at the Civic Circle, by the New Town Amphitheater.
The route follows Greensmith, Granger Boulevard, Barter, Hempstead, Gait House Drive around New Town Lake, Rue Royale, Arpent, Canal, and South New Town Avenue. Please keep them clear of parked vehicles from 8 AM to 1 PM.
