Community Hero
By Ella Holt
Calling all readers: NTx Connect is instilling a new column in the magazine beginning next month. This segment, “Hometown Heroes,” will follow people in the community who have done something heroic and/or greatly contributed to the local community. Hometown Heroes is a great way to honor the people who may be our neighbors and friends that deserve to be recognized.
Even if you know someone really well, you may not know everything about them. This column will bring an opportunity to find out about some of the good that your neighbors have put into the world. Or, if you know someone that’s perfect for this column, we’d love to hear from you. We invite all readers to submit nominations on behalf of people they know to tell their story and recognize the good they’ve done.
People can be heroic in many different ways – maybe they did this grand heroic thing, or maybe they’re heroic in their everyday work. Either way, the term can be subjective and the column isn’t limited to anyone in any particular category. We’ll ask our heroes all about their story: their background, their inspiration and the path that led them to who they are today.
Do you know someone who’s a hometown hero? Let us know here!
