July is packed with reasons to get outside, connect with neighbors, and enjoy everything that makes North Town St. Charles special. From patriotic celebrations and live music to athletic competition and community gatherings, there’s something big happening every weekend.
The month kicks off with a festive Fourth of July Weekend featuring the annual New Town Parade, family-friendly activities, and two outstanding concerts. Polly & the Pocket brings a high-energy blend of nostalgic favorites spanning multiple decades, while The Sea Monks return to New Town with their signature mix of indie rock, surf-inspired sounds, and family ties that run deep in the community.
Athletes from across the region will converge on the region for the New Town Triathlon, one of the area’s premier summer sporting events. Participants will swim, bike, and run through the scenic streets and waterways while residents line the course to cheer them on. The race weekend continues with the return of Ed Callison and Darren Hank, whose acoustic rock, country, and classic hits have become a perfect soundtrack for race day festivities.
BBQ, cocktail, cigar and live music lovers won’t want to miss the BobaQue Birthday Weekend Block Party. What began as a small local barbecue venture has become a busy gathering spot, and the celebration promises great food, live entertainment, community fun, and plenty of reasons to support a growing local success story.
One of the highlights of the month is the return of Non-Stop Reggae, a summer tradition that has been entertaining New Town audiences for nearly two decades. With a special appearance by the Sassy Slide Dancers, it promises to be an evening filled with positive energy, dancing, and island-inspired fun.
The summer concert season continues into the first day in August with Real Rock Revival and the annual First Responders Tribute. The band delivers crowd-pleasing rock hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s while New Town honors the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency personnel who serve our community every day.
Whether you’re celebrating Independence Day, racing, dancing, dining, or simply spending time with neighbors, July is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most memorable months of the year in our community.
