The evening will be set to the soulful sounds of the Kingdom Brothers, a St. Louis band that plays powerful original music that combines blues, R&B and Gospel influences. The event also features an impressive lineup of local flavors, everything from savory smokehouse BBQ to sweet treats. For those looking to toast to the solstice, spirits and brews will be available from Naked Tiki Distillery and Good News Brewing.

Proudly sponsored by the Frenchtown Heritage Museum and the Foundry Art Centre, this celebration honors the rich heritage of the French in St. Charles. Celebrated annually on June 24, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day originated as an ancient summer solstice ritual honoring the sun and the start of the farming season. The holiday was later reclaimed by the Christian Church and eventually adopted by French Canadians as a patriotic celebration to solidify their cultural identity and union.
