Eagle’s View: 2025 Wrapped

As 2025 comes to a close, students at Orchard Farm High School reflect on a year filled with achievements, new traditions, and unforgettable moments. Here’s their “2025 Wrapped.”
January
- The snowstorm: an extra week of winter break!
On the weekend of January 4th, a major snowstorm brought heavy snow, sleet, and freezing temperatures. The school used three snow days and two AMI days, extending winter break by a week. The high school had to adjust the start of the new semester, making creative use of AMI days.
February
- Mr. Inman recognized by the Support Staff Professional Development Committee
Mr. Inman, ISS director, was honored for his dedication and hard work around the school.
March
- Boys' volleyball team debuts
The new boys' volleyball team played its first-ever game, coached by Amy Cassin. - Gretchen Schuster and Will Wolf crowned Winter Formal king and queen
Juniors Gretchen and Will were crowned at the boys' basketball game against Winfield, marking the first time students were crowned at a winter dance. - Boys' basketball wins district championship
The team defeated Lutheran St. Charles 83-55 in the Class 4 District 7 tournament, advancing to sectionals.
April
- Ava Zuccarello and Anthony Louis win Prom king and queen
Middle school sweethearts Ava and Anthony were crowned at prom and now attend SEMO together.
May
- Girls' soccer wins district championship
The girls' soccer team defeated St. Charles West 5-0 in the Class 4 District 3 tournament, advancing to sectionals. - Olivia Nicolay goes to state for pole vaulting
Olivia placed third in sectionals, qualifying for the Class 4 State Championship in Jefferson City. - OFHS presents: You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown
The annual school musical featured a special recognition for seniors and retiring instructor Mrs. Bhat. - Marching band debuts new uniforms
Under new band teacher Mr. McGraw, the marching band received professional matching uniforms for the first time in nearly a decade. - Special Olympics track meet with Best Buddies
On April 25th, OFHS Best Buddies competed at Wright City High School, earning medals and enjoying ice cream. - The class of 2025 graduates
On May 18th, the class of 2025 walked the stage, with inspiring speeches from student leaders. - Lojin Ibnoucheikh recognized at BOE meeting
Lojin was honored by the Board of Education for academic excellence and positive character. - Mrs. Bhat retires
Mrs. Bhat, choir advisor and musical instructor, retired after 25 years of service, receiving heartfelt tributes during graduation.
August
- Class of 2026 upholds barn painting tradition
Seniors began the year by adding their handprints to the barn across from the old building, continuing a beloved tradition.
September
- JaKai Robinson recognized at BOE meeting
Senior JaKai Robinson was honored for her eagle spirit, positive attitude, and determination in athletics and academics. - Seven OFHS students receive College Board National Recognition
Leah Niebuhr, Hadley Rearden, Isla Loucks, Max Sarino, Reilly Hawkings, Ayden Hawkins, and Andrew Birchler were recognized for academic excellence. Leah, Isla, and Reilly also received the Rural and Small Town Award. - Jakai Robinson and Hayden Bagot win Homecoming king and queen
On September 26, Hayden Bagot and JaKai Robinson were crowned during the Homecoming football game. - Orchard Farm wins canned food drive
The school collected 3,759 pounds of canned food, outpacing St. Charles West with strong community support.
October
- Mrs. Botkin wins World Title in Showmanship
Librarian Mrs. Botkin placed in the top 10 at the NOHSA World Show for horseback riding. - VOX Aeris Choir group’s first performance
The newly formed select choir group rehearsed diligently and performed three songs at their debut concert.
November
- Carson Clement and Will Falzone go to state for cross country
Both qualified for the state meet at Mizzou, finishing the race together. - Dr. Jones named Assistant Superintendent
Principal Dr. Jones announced his new role as assistant superintendent after years of service as principal.
December
- Dr. Menteer named Principal of OFHS
Dr. Menteer, previously assistant principal, will become principal for the 2026-2027 school year. - Dance team’s first-ever competition
After 25 years, the dance team returned as a sport and placed second at their first competition at Lindbergh High School.
