October is one of those months when New Town really shows what makes this community special. There’s an incredible variety of things happening, from races and festivals to live music, family activities and plenty of fun as the month winds down.
But behind all that activity is something even more important: opportunities to support one another. This month, neighbors will gather for the Tim Eveker Memorial Concert, runners will push themselves at the Backyard Ultra while raising money for Braxley, the Fall Festival & Chili Cook-Off will help support the Commons Foundation, and Irish Road Bowling will once again combine a unique new New Town tradition with a good cause.
This issue also takes us inside some of the unique spaces and organizations that help shape our community. We visit the beautiful Serenity Garden at St. Charles Christian Church, look at what’s next for The Commons, and introduce you to local businesses and people making an impact.
Then comes Halloween! From costumes and trick-or-treating to trunk-or-treat, a murder mystery, coffin races and even a Swiftie Halloween party, there are plenty of ways to celebrate.
October is packed. Get out, support a cause, support a local business, meet your neighbors and enjoy it.
