St. Charles Night Out is all about bringing neighbors together and giving residents a chance to connect with the first responders and City officials who serve our community.
Sponsored locally by the New Town General Assembly, New Town’s celebration will feature an evening of family-friendly activities, food for residents and plenty of opportunities to catch up with friends and neighbors. St. Charles Police and Fire representatives are expected to join the festivities, along with a balloon artist, face painting, a bubble truck and possibly an appearance by the St. Charles City Mounted Patrol.
St. Charles Night Out is our community’s version of National Night Out, an annual campaign designed to strengthen relationships between residents, law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve. St. Charles holds its celebration a few weeks after the traditional national date, hopefully bringing cooler weather for an enjoyable evening outdoors.
While the activities are fun, the heart of the event is simple: community. It’s an opportunity to step outside, meet someone new, reconnect with familiar faces and spend time with the police officers, firefighters and City representatives who work throughout St. Charles.
Night Out gatherings take place in neighborhoods across the city, with each celebration organized locally and reflecting the character of its community. Police and other City representatives make their way to as many gatherings as possible throughout the evening, so specific units and appearances may vary.
Bring the kids, visit with our local first responders, grab some food and enjoy a night celebrating the neighbors and people who help make New Town a strong community.
