For more than two decades, Trixie Delight has built a reputation as one of St. Louis’ most entertaining and versatile live bands — and when they come to New Town, they know how to make a night of it.

Trixie Delight takes the stage at The Amphitheater first, bringing a setlist that can jump decades, genres and musical styles without missing a beat. Then, in what has become a New Town tradition, the party moves to Domain Street Wine Bar at 10 p.m., where the band will finish out the night.

Formed in 2001, Trixie Delight is led by powerhouse vocalist and front woman Kelly Wild, joined by guitarist Clint Wilson, drummer Brian Zielie and bassist Richie Lemoine. Everything is performed 100% live — no pre-recorded backing tracks or vocals — and the band's musicianship allows it to cover an unusually wide range of artists while keeping the energy high and the crowd involved.

And when they say they can play just about anything, their song list backs it up.

Expect a musical trip spanning classic rock, ’80s favorites, ’90s alternative and grunge, country, soul, pop and current hits. AC/DC, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles can share a set with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Weezer. Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Chris Stapleton may give way to Prince, Amy Winehouse, Adele and Lady Gaga — with newer favorites from Chappell Roan, Hozier, Dua Lipa and others mixed in.

That means everything from “Back in Black,” “Barracuda” and “Gold Dust Woman” to “Everlong,” “Tennessee Whiskey,” “Valerie,” “Bad Romance” and “Good Luck, Babe!”

It’s a little rock, a little country, a little pop and a whole lot of songs you know. For New Town, Trixie Delight isn’t just another concert — they’re a longtime favorite, and ending the night at the Wine Bar is part of the tradition.
